Guernsey Sands November Community Meet

Wednesday 15 November- 19:30-21:30 / St Stephen's Community Centre Meeting Room

Guernsey Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) has a local support group who can offer emotional support and practical help if your baby has died during late pregnancy, at birth or shortly afterwards.

Our friendly and relaxed monthly community meets are an opportunity for bereaved parents, relatives and close friends to meet with others who have been through a similar experience.

We aim to meet every month, from 7.30pm-9.30pm. You are more then welcome to turn up on the day but if you wish, you can confirm your attendance by phone or email:

t: 07781 103435
e: [email protected]

NOTE: There will be no community meet in December due to holding our Lights of Love event on the 8th, so at the November community meet we will be making our tree tags for Lights of Love and other Christmas themed memorial ornaments.

Lights of Love Service

Friday 8 December - 19:30-21:00 / St Saviour's Church

Guernsey Sands is holding its annual Lights of Love service on Friday 8 December from 7.30pm at St Saviour’s Church.

This Christmas service is for all who have been deeply touched by the death of a child, at any age or stage of the child’s life and is an opportunity to honour the loved ones no longer with us, before we celebrate Christmas.

This candlelit service by Reverend Linda Le Vasseur includes Christmas carols, readings, musical entertainment, candle lighting, memorial roll call and tag hanging in honour of your loved lost one and a few mementos of the evening followed by a light refreshment.

Children are welcome
This is a multi denominational service.

Please email if you would like a tag hung in your absence and any baby names to be included in the memorial roll call by Friday 24 November to [email protected].

If you are interested in helping organise the event or would like to hear a specific reading or do a reading, please email [email protected].
